Coinbase has five cryptocurrencies for trade with this permission. Among those items are Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and Luman Steller (XLM).

Two Cryptocurrency exchanges Portugal approves. Banco de Portugal, the central Bank of the nation, authorizes Mind Coin and Criptoloja to operate as exchanges for cryptocurrencies. Criptoloja is the first 100-percent Portuguese firm to allow Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to be bought or sold by consumers. In Lisbon, the country's capital, the organization is located.

Mind the Coin will provide Bitcoin, Litecoin and Monero trading alternatives (XMR). In accordance with regulations pertaining to money-laundering and terrorist funding, the central bank manages the registration of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).

The oversight of Banco de Portugal in relation to supplier of virtual assets is restricted to an AML/CFT purpose and does not cover other prudential or market behavioral aspects as defined in Law No 83/2017 of 18 August 2017.

This requires the permission of all firms which wish to register as crypto-monetary exchanges. In addition, crypto-transfer businesses and wallet services need also be registered.
