Today, Coinbase Pro today announced the launch of Shiba Inu's (SHIB) trading on Thursday, 17 June. The Keep Network (KEEP) and Chilean tokens (CHZ) are included as well. Customers of Coinbase can start transferring these three platform tokens.
"Our CHZ-USD, CHZ-EUR, CHZ-GB Post-Only, CHZ-USDT, KEEP-USD, SHIP-USD and SHIB-USDT order books are launched in three steps, after adequate supply of CEEP-USD and after the complete trading of the new book," according to a blog post.
Shiba Inu is similar to Dogecoin, a meme of the Shiba Inu from the 2010's. Unlike the DOGE, it's a token of ERC20, which means that it's running on Ethereum.
SHIB is the 17th biggest token, with more than $9 billion in market capitalisation, according to the Nomics statistics.
And it looks that the market cap is rising. The token was promoted by the list and in the last day the price rose 33% to $0.00000925.
On November 7th of last year, it is much lower than its all-time high of $0.00003791 (notice one less zero). However, it was a welcome lift after Vitalik Buterin, the inventor of Ethereum, almost sank the cryptocurrency by offering charitable funds to 50 trillion shibs. The currency owner of the Meme had given the Wunderkind the token in order not to touch it, artificially limiting the token's quantity while linking it with a famous developer.
Now, a respected developer may not be necessary. It has the sole coinbase in the United States to offer some legitimacy, the only publicly listed crypto exchange.
