Anthony Di Iorio, co-founder of Ethereum, says he believes in the future of both Cardano and Polkadot.
Di Iorio joined the Ethereum development team shortly after meeting Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, at a Bitcoin conference in 2012. Following his stint at Ethereum, De Iorio founded Decentral, a blockchain startup located in Toronto. When questioned about his current crypto portfolio build in a recent interview with Anthony Pompliano, Di Iorio lays down his assets and why he believes Polkadot and Cardano have promise.
“Right now, I've reverted to pure simplicity. I'm involved in a variety of projects, although the most of my work is in the top ones. Polkadot and Cardano are two of my favorite designers. Let's just say I'm a big admirer of Charles. Taking some alternative methods to how they do things, lot more on the scholarly side of what he's done and driving things forward. Gavin Wood is a huge admirer of mine.”
Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson, together with Di Iorio, Vitalik Buterin, and current Polkadot CEO Gavin Wood, co-founded Ethereum in December 2013.
“Knowing those individuals from their days at Ethereum – and knowing their passion, competitiveness, and intelligence – I was able to monitor those initiatives for the previous three years and knew they were going to arrive to where they are now.”
Di Iorio wants to keep things simple and invest in larger initiatives with his other crypto assets.
“The majority of my holdings are in the top few cryptocurrencies: Ether, Bitcoin, Cardano, and Polkadot. Cosmos is also a favorite of mine. There are a couple more, but I'm not getting bogged down in the DeFi (decentralized finance) jargon. I just believe there is insufficient time and energy. Running a lot of that stuff and being on top of things is a full-time job, so I've streamlined my life a lot in the last few years.”
