Shiba Inu (SHIB) reaches 1 million Twitter followers.

Shiba Inu (SHIB), a decentralized meme coin, announced on October 6, 2021 that it has achieved one million followers on the social media site Twitter.

The hashtag #SHIB has been in the top ten most popular tweets on Twitter many times in the past 24 hours, and the currency's price is rising as a result of the increased number of searches.

The Shib account sent out the following tweet:

Thank you, #ShibArmy, for assisting us in reaching yet another historical milestone. On Twitter, we passed the million-follower mark today.

Coinbase's statement

Last month that SHIB is now accessible to customers via the company's iOS and Android mobile apps, which was a possible cause for the cryptocurrency's price rise, was a potential driver for the cryptocurrency's price increase.

Shiba Inu was introduced to Coinbase on September 16, making it more accessible to the exchange's millions of bitcoin dealers. The Shiba Inu community reacted positively to the decision, driving the cryptocurrency up by more than 31.9 percent in only 24 hours.

Although there are efforts dedicated to SHIB tokens, such as the incubator for non-fungible token (NFT) art and the newly launched ShibaSwap decentralized exchange, the asset's appeal online as a meme currency has driven the bulk of its price rises.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), may have increased the price of SHIB tweets with his new Shiba Inu Puppy named 'Floki,' keeping the currency in the mainstream crypto arena, similar to DOGE.
